A Look Back at the 2014 NFL Season

It’s over.  Seems like it just started.  The awesome thing about looking back at the end of the season is how funny things seem now. So, sit back, R-E-L-A-X as we take a quick tram ride through the season that was:

Exhibit A:  Jay Cutler and Matthew Stafford could potentially vie for an MVP.    In a list published in the preseason, each had 20-1 odds to win.   Towards the bottom of that list?  Demarco Murray.

2.  Most people thought that  Johnny Manziel

Johnny Football
Not quite his time

would be the savior for the city of Cleveland.  Welp, we all see how that turned out.  However, the Browns WERE in first place for awhile.  But we all know how that ended up.

C.  Remember when Jay Gruden was supposed to help RG3 get back to his Rookie of The Year self?  Yeah, neither do I. RG3

D.  The Saints.  And well, the whole NFC South actually.  The Panthers weren’t gonna do anything cause well they only had Cam Newton on offense. Well…Say hello to the first NFC South back to back division winning Panthers. Panthers

5.  And this guy sucked, and we all had him traded away, and Jimmy Garoppolo was ready to take the reins after that week 4 loss to Kansas City, when the Patriots  were 2-2.

Mr. Brady
He’s not headed to the retirement home just yet.

Last but certainly far from least:  The Cowboys were supposed to suck.   It’s fair to say that  we were wrong.

Our tram ride is coming to an end.  Please stay seated until the tram has come to a complete stop.  Have a great day, and thank you for checking out my article at A Good Sports Hang.
